Meridian designs and implements your management system. An independent JAS-ANZ-accredited certification body conducts the certification audit and decides certification. We’ll be clear about what can and can’t be achieved by your date.

What you receive

Know the gaps, the likely cost and the next step.

Your written outline is a practical starting point you can take to your team, your client or your tender, whether or not you engage Meridian.

  • What the requirement means for you

The standard, the business scope involved, and any client or tender wording that needs clarifying.

  • Your priority gaps

Based on what you share: what already works, what’s missing and what needs a closer look.

  • Recommended actions and timing

What needs to happen, in what order, and the dependencies that affect your date, including certification-body availability.

  • An indicative implementation cost

With its assumptions. Any indicative certification-body fees are identified separately and remain subject to that body’s quote.

This is an initial readiness review based on the information discussed. It is not a full gap audit or a certification decision.

Illustrative example only, not a client assessment. Your outline reflects what we learn in your review.

How it works

From an ISO requirement to a practical plan.

Bring your client or tender requirement, your target date and an overview of what you already have. We’ll help you understand the work ahead before you commit to implementation.

  1. Tell us what you need ISO for

Share the requirement and any deadline through the form. We’ll contact you to arrange your review. If you’re ready to discuss implementation, you can choose that option instead.

  2. Review your starting point

In a 30-minute call or video session, we’ll discuss your operations, existing systems and what the requirement means for your business. We’ll identify apparent gaps, priorities and timing dependencies based on what you share.

  3. Receive your written next steps

Within two business days of your completed review, you’ll receive an outline covering priority gaps, recommended actions, an indicative timeline and implementation cost. Any indicative certification-body fees will be identified separately and remain subject to that body’s quote.

Use the outline to discuss your options with your team. If you want Meridian to carry out the implementation, we’ll discuss a separately scoped proposal.

Why Meridian

A consultancy that builds the system and runs one itself.

We are a national company which attained triple ISO certification. Our organisation had outdated processes that were no longer being properly monitored. Meridian has been brilliant. Highly recommended.

  • 140+ businesses supported

Businesses supported to certification across a range of sizes and sectors.

  • Certified Lead Auditors

Our team includes Exemplar Global Certified Lead Auditors.

  • ISO 9001 certified ourselves

Meridian is itself ISO 9001 certified. We run the standard we help you work towards.

Working towards a deadline

Bring the date. We’ll work through what it depends on.

If a tender, client or panel requires ISO, the starting point is the actual requirement. We’ll discuss the work involved, what can run in parallel and what needs confirming before a timeline is reliable.

How we use the time well

  • Start with the processes and evidence you already have.
  • Separate the work Meridian handles from the input needed from your team.
  • Identify certification scheduling dependencies early.

The certification body makes its own assessment and certification decision. We’ll be direct about uncertainty or a target that may not be achievable.

What is free, and what happens afterwards?

The initial 30-minute readiness review and written outline are free. There is no obligation to engage Meridian. The outline is intended to be useful on its own.

If you want us to implement the system, that is a separate paid engagement with an agreed scope and price. Certification-body fees are separate from our implementation fee.

How much does ISO 9001 cost?

Implementation cost depends on the size and complexity of your operations, sites and current readiness. Your outline includes an indicative implementation cost and its assumptions. Any certification-body fee estimate is shown separately and needs confirmation through that body’s quote. A final implementation proposal follows once the scope is agreed.

How long will certification take?

Timing depends on your scope, existing system and evidence, the implementation work, your team’s availability, and the certification body’s scheduling and findings. We discuss those dependencies against your target date. We cannot promise certification by a particular date before that work is understood, or control the certification body’s decision.

What if our tender closes soon?

Tell us the closing date and the exact certification requirement. We’ll discuss whether the target appears achievable and what must be checked. If certification may not be in place in time, any alternative evidence must be accepted by the client or tender authority. A progress letter is not a certificate and does not replace a requirement for one.

When will we receive the written outline?

The two-business-day timeframe starts after your completed review session. We first contact you to arrange the session, then prepare and review your written outline before sending it.

What if we already have policies or a working system?

Bring an overview to the session. We’ll discuss what appears usable and what needs closer investigation. Existing documents are a starting point; how the system operates and the evidence supporting it also matter. If you already have a functioning system and only need an independent certification audit, we’ll explain that distinction.

Can you also help with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001?

Yes. If your requirement covers quality, environmental management and workplace health and safety, we can discuss one integrated management system covering ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001. Tell us which standards your client or tender names, or bring the wording if you’re unsure.

Can we go straight to implementation?

Yes. Choose “Discuss implementation” in the form or call 1300 438 476. The free review is an available first step, not a requirement before discussing a scoped proposal.
